The gas spring ensures that the rear end is lifted by holding the trim tabs down during acceleration. The size of the lift is determined by the load of the gas spring and the trim tabs, which is made during installation. ARRANGEMENTS SMART TABS start at a downward angle, to maximize the lift at low speed. When the boat accelerates, the water presses on the trim tab, which makes the rear end lifted and the boat is going to work quickly. When the water pressure exceeds the gas spring load value (highest lift), the trim tabs are in a horizontal position, so as not to provide resistance. STABILIZATION Also during sailing, SMART TABS continues to act as a shock absorber.
